Welcome! I’m Chrystal.

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker based in Austin, Texas, and I’m so glad you’re here as you explore what a supportive space might look like for you. Many of my clients arrive at therapy feeling overwhelmed as they navigate stressful or impactful experiences, looking for a place to slow down and untangle what they’ve been carrying. They may move through life with a composed exterior while holding a complex inner world. My aim is to foster a place where you can show up more fully without needing to guard, perform, or carry it all on your own.

My approach to therapy is affirming and collaborative, centered on the insight you bring from your own lived experience. Together, we explore how your experiences shape your inner world and relationships while cultivating deeper self-understanding and greater steadiness in daily life. I’m especially passionate about working with emerging adults and professionals as they cultivate greater self-compassion and develop a more confident sense of who they are while moving through seasons of change.

I also love working with kids and their families. We make room for children to navigate big feelings, life transitions, and the everyday challenges that come with growing up. As children begin to make sense of their experiences, I also welcome caregivers into the process to share their perspectives and stay connected to the work happening in therapy.

In my Somatic Experiencing training, I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, working with the nervous system to bring gentle awareness into the body and process experiences at a pace that respects your capacity. I also draw from other evidence-based approaches such as Relational Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. At the heart of our work is attention to what feels most supportive and meaningful to you, including your values, identity, and the broader contexts that are a part of your story.

I offer both in-person sessions in Austin, Texas, and virtual sessions across Texas. If you’re looking for a space to slow down, reconnect, and feel more at home within yourself, it would be an honor to support you in this process.

*in-person and virtual therapy options; some evening and weekend availability.

The Whole Me

When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me snuggling with my not-so-cuddly cavapoo or out around the city enjoying a tried-and-true spot or exploring new restaurants and coffee shops. I enjoy both quiet nights in and the occasional spontaneous adventure, whether that’s around Austin or getting outside the city for a bit. In my free time, you’ll often find me practicing yoga, paddle boarding with friends, or simply spending time outdoors with friends or family.
